Mrs. Freda Wille Travis of Williams, who has been ill at Mercy hospital for several weeks with peritonitis and blood poisoning passed away at 7:30 last evening. For weeks her life had been hanging in the balance. All of the intimate relatives were at the bedside at the time of her death.

Freda Marie Wille was born in Williams April 12, 1894. She was the eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. [Mary Rutledge] Wille, well known and highly respected residents of Williams. She attended the Williams public schools and since her school life had spent three years clerking in the Wilkinson dry goods store in Williams. She had continued to make her residence at home where her presence will be sadly missed by her parents, sister and brother. One year ago last September the deceased was united in marriage with George Travis, an actor. The couple continued to live with the Wille family and nine weeks ago their baby son, Byron J., was born. When the child was two weeks old, Mr. Travis again resumed his duties with a theatrical company on the road and has not returned since, although the parents of his wife have been in correspondence with him and a dispatch was sent him last night.

The following uncles and aunts of the deceased reside in this city or near here: Mrs. S.A. Christenson, Mrs. D.H. Morgan, Mrs. R.P. Smock, Herman Rutledge, J.C. Rutledge; Frank M. Rutledge, near Highview; Mrs. N.F. Christenson, near Mason City.

The remains will be taken to Williams this afternoon in the Miller hearse and the funeral services held from the family home Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Bryant, a Methodist minister from Lake City. The deceased was a member of the Williams Methodist church, having joined during Rev. Bryant's pastorate there. A day or so before Mrs. Travis passed away she sent for Rev. Bryant and he made the trip to her bedside.

Interment will be made in Williams cemetery.

Those wishing to view the remains are requested to call at the Wille home Friday morning between the hours of 10 and 12 o'clock.
