Graveside Rites For Peterson Baby

STRATFORD (Special) - Private graveside services for Mitchell Eugene Peterson were held Sunday, Sept. 17, at the South Marion cemetery at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Olson of the Calvary Methodist church in charge.

The baby was stillborn Saturday morning, Sept. 16, at the University Hospital, Iowa City, to Mr. and Mrs. Gene {Patricia Ann Bergman] Peterson of Stratford.

Mrs. Peterson suffered second and third degree burns over 65 percent of her body in an explosion fire at her home in Stratford, Tuesday, Sept. 12. She is reportedly holding her own at the University Hospital.

Graveside services were held for the infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Peterson of Stratford were conducted by the Rev. Harold Olson, Methodist pastor.

Besides the parents the baby was survived by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bergman and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Peterson of Stratford, and his great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J.W. Shoberg.
