PER PETERSON

Per Oscar Peterson, 90, Stratford, died March 3, 1982 at the Stratford Care Center. He was born June 8, 1891 in Skarlov Oland, Sweden, the son of Swen and Johanna Peterson.

Peterson was a farm worker in the Stratford area. He was a veteran of World War I, and a member of the Stratford Lutheran Church, American Legion, Sonksen Post of Stratford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and two sisters.

Survivors include six cousins, Miss Edna Peterson of Des Moines, the Rev. Elmer Peterson of Osseo, Minn., Mrs. Edith Carlson, Joel Peterson and Mrs. Hortense Johnson, all of Boone, and a cousin in Sweden.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Stratford Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Calvin Rossman officiating. Burial will be in the South Marion Cemetery, with military graveside services by the Sonksen Post of the American Legion.

Friends may call at the Hanson-Stark-Welin Funeral Home on Friday from 4 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon.
