John L. Peterson Dies on Thursday

John Leslie Peterson, 75, retired Boone county farmer, died at the Boone county hospital Thursday afternoon, Nov. 3.

Born in this county July 4, 1885, he was united in marriage with Alma Lakeberg in 1921 in Boone. His wife preceded him in death in 1950.

Survivors include two sons, a daughter, a brother, Ray C. Peterson, Boone and five sisters, Mesdames Bessie Mae Brands, Florence Wolf, Minnie Brown and Alice Wilcox, all of Ames and Mrs. Fannie Sandahl, Des Moines.

Private funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Adams Funeral home in Ames with the Rev. William Hoyle, pastor of the Marion Street Methodist church, in charge. Burial will be in South Marion cemetery.
