J.W. Peterson, Stanhope Succumbed Saturday Eve

John W. Peterson, aged 61, died Saturday evening in the county hospital in Webster City, his death being due to an infection which developed following an accident on the Peterson farm, south of Stanhope, three weeks ago when his leg was injured on a piece of wood in the barnyard.

Mr. Peterson had never married but is survived by his brother, Edward, and two aunts, Mrs. John Oppedahl, of Stanhope, and Miss Delia Andrews, of Boone.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Stanhope Methodist church and were conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Mr. Grigsby. Interment was made in the South Marion cemetery.
