Mrs. Erick Peterson Dies on Friday

Mrs. Erick Peterson, 89, of route 3, Ames, died at 11 a.m. Friday at her home. She had been ill since November 25, with a heart ailment. Mrs. Peterson was born June 5, 1867 near Stratford, and had resided in Story county since 1923. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Ames.

She is survived by two sons, Roy C. Peterson and John L. Peterson, both of Boone; five daughters, Mrs. Fannie Sandahl of Des Moines, and Mrs. Mae Brand, Mrs. Alice Wilcox, Mrs. Florence Wolf, and Mrs. Minnie Brown, all of Ames; six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Mrs. Peterson was preceded in death by her husband, Erick Peterson in May 1947.

Funeral services will be held Monday at the Adams Chapel at Ames, at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Robert Pinnell officiating. Burial will be at the South Marion cemetery near Stratford.
