PEEL

Allen D. Peel, 81, Stratford, died Aug. 11, 1982 at the Stratford Care Center. He was born Feb. 14, 1901 in Adel, the son of Joseph and Elizabeth Peel.

Peel moved to Stratford where he worked as a farm laborer and tile ditcher.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and four brothers.

Survivors include a sister, Nora Ericson [it was typed Erickson in his brother Arthur's obituary], Stratford; a nephew, Darrell Rector, Davenport; two nieces, Juanita Rice, New London, and Viola Schneckloth, Davenport; a cousin, Helen Jones, Cheotah, Okla.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Stratford Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the South Marion Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hanson-Stark-Welin Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until noon Friday.
