Anna Christine Carlson Malmberg was born Nov. 2, 1869, in Jankoping ? Sweden and died at her home in Stratford Oct. 1, 1932.

She came to America in 1894 coming to her sister's home in Stanhope. In the year of 1896 she was united in marriage to Charles J. Malmberg, of Stratford. They moved to their farm northwest of Stratford where they made their home for 21 years and raised their family of four daughters. Later they moved to their home in Stratford where they have lived for 16 years.

During her entire life she was an earnest and devout Christian, having early established her faith through the influence of a Christian home. She was a member of the First Baptist church of Stratford, where she was deeply interested in the work of the church and where she will be greatly missed.

She was a faithful wife, a kind and devoted mother and a friend of all those who knew her. Suffering from ill health for many years and particularly during the last few years she has shown remarkable patience. Every possible means was sought to improve her health and relieve her suffering but to no avail. In spite of her illness she remained cheerful and kind, having supreme faith in her Saviour, and the greatest devotion to her home and her loved ones.

She leaves to mourn her death, her husband, Charles J. Malmberg, her four daughters, Mrs. Grover Iles, Mrs. Frank Paulson [Poulson in her husband's obituary], Mrs. Kenneth F. Carlson, of Stratford, and Mrs. A.L. Beverly, of Arnolds Park, and one brother, Carl, a minister at Jankoping, Sweden. There are also eight grandchildren and many other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the Baptist church Monday afternoon at 2:30, with Rev. A.E. Applequist officiating. Dr. C.G. Bengston, of Pomeroy, a former pastor of the family gave a fitting talk in Swedish. A ladies quartet sang two selections, "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," and "Good Night Here and Good Morning Up There." Mrs. Appelquist sang a Swedish solo, "Jog Stall Sofva Men Ej Evight."

Burial was made at the South Marion cemetery.
