Charles J. Malmberg, 72, died in his home here Monday night following an illness of some time with a heart ailment. He was one of the early settlers of this community and had lived here practically all of his life.

He is survived by his wife [Anna Christine Carlson] and four daughters, Mrs. Grover Iles and Mrs. Frank Poulson, of Stratford, Mrs. A.I. Beverly, of Arnolds Park, Mrs. Kenneth Carlson, of Dayton.

Funeral services will be held this afternoon at 2 o'clock in the home and at 2:30 o'clock in the Baptist church and will be conducted by the Rev. Francis Sorley. Miller in charge.
