Wyona Magnuson, 72, Boone, died July 17, 1993 at her home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at South Marion United Methodist Church, south of Stratford. Burial will be in South Marion Cemetery. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel in Boone.

Wyona Johnson, daughter of Andrew and Carrie (Norman) Johnson, was born Sept. 25, 1920 in Stratford. She graduated from Stratford High School in 1937.

On Jan. 20, 1944, she married Charles Magnuson in Stratford. They farmed in the Stratford and Stanhope areas until 1969 when they moved to Boone. From 1969-85, she was employed at the Boone County Hospital.

She is survived by son, Ronald of Marietta, Ga.; daughter, Roberta Christopherson of Pewaukee, Wis.; four grandchildren; and sister, Velva Wanlund of Stratford. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two brothers.

She was a member of the South Marion United Methodist Church and was the secretary for the Boone Senior Citizens.
