March 23, 1988Charles Alexander Magnuson, 75, Boone, died Monday, March 14, 1988 at the Boone County Hospital. Funeral services were held on March 17 at the Stratford South Marion United Methodist Church. Burial was in the South Marion Cemetery.
Charles Alexander Magnuson, son of Elmer and May Crouse Magnuson, was born March 16, 1912 in Boone County. He married Wyona Johnson of Stratford in 1924.
He farmed in the Stratford area Stanhope areas until 1969. The couple moved to Boone and Mr. Magnuson worked for the Boone County Hospital until 1980 when he retired.
Survivors are his wife; one son, Ronald of Marietta, Ga., a daughter, Roberta of Waukesha, Wis.; three brothers, Benjamin and Robert of Boone and Malvin of Des Moines; two sisters, Alice Carroll of Big Lake, Minn., and Mary Grabau of Boone; four grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.
