Funeral services for Glenn G. McCoy, 71, of Stanhope, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Stuart Brightwell officiating with burial in the South Marion cemetery near Stratford.

Mr. McCoy died Monday evening at the Story City Memorial hospital where he had been a patient since Friday. He had been in ill health for several years.

Glenn Gilbert McCoy, son of Charles and Nellie McCoy, was born March 26, 1911 at Hubbard where he was reared and educated.

He was married Jan. 28, 1962, to Ruth Esther Jenkins, and the couple farmed near Ellsworth for two and one-half years, then moved to a farm in the Stanhope area.

He is survived by his wife; four daughters and three sons, Maynard McCoy of Des Moines, Mrs. Earl (Mildred) Cox of Des Moines, Charles McCoy of Webster City, Dale McCoy, at home, Lawrence McCoy, of Webster City, Charlotte McCoy, of Eagle Grove and Marvin McCoy, of Minneapolis; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Also surviving are a brother and sister, Mrs. Dave Kolbe of Radcliffe and Harold McCoy of Texas, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He attended the Church of God at Stanhope.
