Obituary
Earl Johnson Called Home.

Death visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. A.C. Johnson Saturday and removed from their midst their son, Earl Eugene, at the age of 12 years, 11 months and 11 days. He was taken ill nearly ten years ago and for many years has suffered with a form of paralysis which effected his lower limbs and for a number of years he has been unable to walk. He bore his sufferings with the patience of a martyr and he was always bright, cheerful and happy, carrying sunshine with him wherever he went. He always had a smile and a pleasant word for his friends. His death comes as a dark shadow to his parents, relatives and friends who loved him so dearly.

The funeral services were held at the residence Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by Burt Samuelson of the Lutheran church, who paid a beautiful tribute to the departed one. A large concourse of people were present at the funeral and as they looked upon the sweet, placid body in its casket and surrounded by beautiful flowers, they compared beautifully with the pure white face within. The pall bearers were Leonard Angstrom, Walter Anderson and Alex and Addie Peterson. The remains were laid to rest in the South Marion cemetery.

Besides his loving parents [Alfred & Anna Westrum Johnson] he leaves his brother, Julius, and his sister, Myrtle, and numerous relatives and a host of friends. The bereaved relatives have the heartfelt sympathy of the people of this community in their sad bereavement.
