Lloyd Jacobson, 49, died at his home on route 3, Boone, Sunday evening about 11:30. He had not been feeling well but his death was unexpected. He had farmed around this area for most of his life.

Survivors include two brothers, Victor of Stanhope and Martin of Boone, and two sisters, Mrs. Roy Lindmark and Miss Lillian Jacobson of Boone.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with a prayer service from the Schroeder Funeral home and at 2:30 o'clock from the South Marion church, near Stratford, with the Rev. Gunn in charge. Burial will be in the South Marion cemetery.

Friends may call beginning this Monday evening at the funeral home.

Obituary

LLOYD J. JACOBSON

Funeral services for Lloyd J. Jacobson were held on Wednesday, April 6, with a Prayer service at the Schroeder Funeral Home at Boone at 2 p.m. and at the South Marion Methodist church near Stratford at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Maurice Gunn in charge. Music was provided by Miss Elsie Swedlund and vocal numbers by Mrs. Verlyn Fry and Mrs. Glenn Stevens, who sang "Beautiful Garden of Prayer" and "Beyond the Sunset."

Pallbearers were George Fibiker, Ray Garvey, Art Harris, Joel Peterson, Paul Stolte, and Ralph Zanker. Those in charge of flowers were Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Monson, Mr. and Mrs. Gerold Parrish and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Stolz. Besides the beautiful floral offerings were many memorial and mission gifts.

Burial was at the South Marion cemetery, where graveside services were conducted by the IOOF Lodge of Boone, and the Rev. Maurice Gunn.

Lloyd Julius Jacobson was born July 9, 1905, at his home in Dodge Township, Boone County, Ia., and died at the same home April 3, 1955, at the age of 49 years, 8 months, and 6 days. He had lived his entire life on the same farm, living there with his sister, Lillian after the death of his father in 1952.

He had been a member of the South Marion Methodist church for 35 years and a member of the IOOF Lodge No. 492 of Boone for one year.

Mr. Jacobson was preceded in death by a brother, Rudy in 1928, his mother in 1943, and his father in 1952. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Roy Lindmark of Boone, Miss Lillian Jacobson at home; three brothers, Martin Jacobson of Boone, R.D. Jacobson and Victor Jacobson of Stanhope; seven nieces and two nephews.
