Obituary

Mrs. Andrew J. Jacobson

Hulda Josephine Anderson, daughter of Gustaf and Greta Lisa Anderson was born at Östergötland, Sweden on March 14, 1863 and died June 14, 1943 at the age of 83 years, 3 months.

On March 11, 1884 she was married to Andrew J. Jacobson and to this union came six children to bless their home. They are: Lillian at home, Mrs. Roy Lindmark and Martin Jacobson both of Boone, Victor Jacobson of Stanhope and Lloyd, at home. One son, Rudy preceded his mother in death some years ago.

Mrs. Jacobson was confirmed in the Lutheran church in Sweden. When she came to this country she did not forget the church but continued to work in it. On Aug. 9, 1903 she and her husband united with the South Marion Methodist church. They have been counted among the faithful all these years.

On March 14 this year Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary and also Mrs. Jacobson's 83rd birthday anniversary. On this occasion they enjoyed the pleasure of having all of their living children present.

She leaves besides the children, her aged husband, two brothers, Albert Anderson of Litchfield, Minn., and Emil Anderson of Boone. Also nine grandchildren and a host of friends.

Her body rests in the South Marion cemetery. The Rev. W.J. Snarr conducted the memorial service on Wednesday afternoon, June 16 at 3 o'clock.

MRS. JACOBSON FUNERAL RITES AT SO. MARION

She Was Born in Sweden. Observed 57th Wedding Anniversary March 14 This Year

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Andrew Jacobson, Boone county pioneer who resided on R.F.D. 3, were held at the late home and at South Marion church the afternoon of Wednesday, June 16.

The Rev. W.J. Snarr was in charge of the last rites and interment was at South Marion cemetery.

57th Anniversary

March 14th of this year Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary and also her 80th birthday. On this occasion they had the privilege of having all of their children present.

She leaves her husband and children who have been mentioned above. Besides these she leaves two brothers, Albert Anderson of Litchfield, Minn., and Emil Anderson of Boone. Besides these there are a host of friends who will never forget her.
