He was a kind and loving father, a good neighbor, and was held in high esteem by all who knew him.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 21, 1952, at 1:30 p.m., from the Schroeder funeral home at Boone and at 2 p.m. from the South Marion Methodist church, with the Rev. A.G. Heddle, pastor of the church in charge.
