Mrs. Isaacson Dies Saturday

STRATFORD (Special) - Mrs. A. C. (Inez) Isaacson, 64, of Stratford, died Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Boone Hospital following a lingering illness.

Mrs. Isaacson, a graduate of Stratford High School, taught in the rural schools at Stratford and also at Forks, Wash. She was a member of the Calvary Methodist Church, the Federated Woman's Club, and was a past president of the Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Art C. Isaacson of Stratford; her mother, Mrs. Winnifred Hakes of Stratford; and a twin sister, Mrs. M. P. (Irma) Gabrielson of Stratford; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lloyd.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Aug. 11, at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Methodist Church at Stratford, with the Rev. Walter Phelps officiating. Burial will be at the South Marion Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hanson Funeral Home, from Monday until Wednesday noon when the body will be taken to the church.

Funeral services for Mrs. A.C. Issacson were held Wednesday, Aug. 11, 1965 at the Calvary Methodist Church with the Rev. Walter Phelps, officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Norman D. Erickson sang, "How Great Thou Art" and the "Lord's Prayer" was sung by Mrs. Dalton Fisher, accompanied by Mrs. Norman D. Erickson.

Pallbearers were Verlyn Fry, Marshall Silvey, Roy Bass, Ed Sterner, Gene Angove and F.G. Rose. Ushers were Glenn Hall and Weldon Swedlund. The floral tributes were arranged by Mesdames Marshall Silvey and Verlyn Fry.

Burial was at the South Marion Cemetery with the Hanson Funeral home in charge of arrangements.

Inez Isaacson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hakes, was born Feb. 13, 1901 and died at the Boone Hospital, Boone, Iowa, Saturday, Aug. 7, 1965.

She attended and graduated from the Stratford schools, and taught in the rural schools for several years and in the Stratford school for 6 years.

On September 28, 1927, she was united in marriage to Arthur C. Isaacson. The couple farmed until 1953 when they retired and moved to town. For two years they lived in Forks, Wash., where Mrs. Isaacson taught school.

Mrs. Isaacson was a member of the Calvary Methodist Church, was a past president of the Legion Auxiliary and was a member of the Stratford Federation of Womens Club.

Survivors include her husband; her mother, Mrs. Winnifred [Chamberlain] Hakes; a twin sister, Mrs. M.P. (Irma) Gabrielson; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Lloyd.
