MAGGIE ILES

Maggie Iles, 92, of the Stratford Care Center, died Tuesday, Jan. 3, 1990, at the Hamilton County Hospital in Webster City. Services were held Friday, Feb. 2 at 1:30 p.m. at Calvary United Methodist Church, Stratford, with the Rev. Willis E. Grant, pastor officiating. Burial was in South Marion Cemetery, south of Stratford. The Stark-Welin Funeral Home, Stratford, was in charge of arrangements.

Maggie Malmberg, daughter of Charles and Anna Carlson Malmberg, was born Aug. 12, 1897, in Stratford. She married Grover Iles on Sept. 12, 1916, in Stratford. She worked as a homemaker.

She is survived by a daughter, Genevieve Steuerwald, Webster City; four sons, Harold Iles, Webster City, Clifford Iles, Burnside, Donald Iles, Dayton and Merlin Iles, Stratford; 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and two sisters, Mabel Beverly, Lake Park and Agnes Carlson, Dayton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, one grandson and a sister.

Mrs. Iles was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church of Stratford.
