Grover Iles, 68, Stratford, Dies

Grover Iles, 68, died very suddenly Friday afternoon, Dec. 23, following a heart attack at his farm home west of Stratford.

Survivors include his widow, Maggie [Malmberg]; six sons, Kenneth and Donald of Stratford, Merlin at home, Myron of Fort Dodge, Clifford of Burnside and Harold of Webster City; a daughter, Mrs. Melvin (Genevieve) Steuerwald of Webster City; 14 grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lawrence Bell of Stratford, and Mrs. Russell (Vera) Harmon of Arthur, Ia.; and five brothers, John of Dayton, Clem of Webster City, Dennis of Stratford, Clell of Pilot Mound, and Earl of Utica, Mich.

Funeral services will be held Monday, Dec. 26, at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert Ruppert officiating. Burial will be at the South Marion cemetery with the Hanson Funeral Home in charge.
