Mrs. Lulu Ella Hubner, 75, longtime Stratford resident, died at the Boone County hospital Monday morning where she had been since Feb. 15.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 2 p.m. at the Stratford Calvary United Methodist church with the Rev. Ellis Andrews officiating and with burial in South Marion cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hanson-Stark-Welin funeral home in Stratford from Tuesday noon to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to noon, when the casket will be taken to the church.

Survivors include three brothers, Frank E. Mitchell and Ray Mitchell, both of Pipestone, Minn., Ira E. Mitchell of Stratford, several nieces and nephews.

She was born Sept. 11, 1898, in Emmetsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.J. [Alfred & Ella McKillips] Mitchell. She was married to Rudy Hubner Aug. 17, 1922 at Pipestone.

Mr. Hubner preceded her in death Sept. 7, 1967.

She was a member of the Stratford Calvary United Methodist church, the Avon chapter 504, O.E.S., the Legion Auxiliary, and the Senior Citizens, all of Stratford and also the white shrine and the Beauceant of Boone.
