Mrs. John Hubner

Mrs. John Hubner, 88, Cedar Rapids resident four years, died in a Cedar Rapids nursing home at 9:20 a.m. Monday after a long illness. Born in Clinton Couty to Peter and Augusta (Hanson) Wiem, she came to Cedar Rapids from Stratford, where she was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Surviving are two sons, Albert, of Cedar Rapids, and Rudy of Stratford; two grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. J.H. Hietkamp of Montevideo, Minn.; Julia Airhart of Perry and Ella Ankeny of Long Beach, Calif. Her husband died in 1931.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Methodist Church at Stratford by the Rev. Otto Steele. Burial will be in the South Marion Cemetery. The body will be taken from the Barta-Hesser Chapel to the Hanson Mortuary at Stratford.
