CHAS. HASSELSTROM PASSED AWAY SUNDAY HERE IN HIS HOME

Charley Hasselstrom, age 88, a long-time resident of this community, passed away in his home south of Stratford Sunday afternoon. He is survived by two sisters and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held this Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Jackson funeral home, conducted by the Rev. A.G. Heddle. Interment will be made in the South Marion Cemetery.

Born Carl Abraham Svensson on December 18, 1860 at Guntorp Nolgården, Lyrestad, Skaraborg, Sweden, the son of Sven Svensson and Maria Sofia Olofsdotter.

Skaraborg County, or Skaraborgs län, was a county of Sweden until December 31, 1998 when it was merged with the counties of Gothenburg and Bohus and Älvsborg to form Västra Götaland County.
