Mrs. Myrtle Hall (Stratford)

South Marion (Special) - Mrs. Myrtle Hall, 60, of Stratford, died Friday evening, April 5, at the Hamilton County Hospital at Webster City, following a lingering illness.

Mrs. Hall as born in Kimball, S. Dak., and was educated in the Lehigh and Stratford Community Schools. She was united in marriage to Edgar Hall, June 16, 1926 and they farmed near Stratford, for several years. Mr. Hall preceded her in death Sept. 27, 1958. Mrs. Hall worked as a cook in the Stratford School system until her illness.

Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Grace Luth of Lehigh; three daughters, Mrs. Gene (Illa) Beaver of Yorba Linda, Calif., Mrs. Duane (Norma Jean) Tyler of Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Verlyn (Dorothy) Westrum of Stratford; two sons, Marvin of Beeville, Texas, and Daryl Hall of Marion, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Edwin Luth of Omaha, Neb.; and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Osborn of Spooner, Wis.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 7, at 2:30 p.m. at the South Marion Methodist Church with the Rev. George Brighton, officiating. Burial will be at the South Marion Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hanson Funeral Home at Stratford, after 8 p.m. this Saturday.

MRS. MYRTLE HALL

STRATFORD - Mrs. Myrtle Hall, 60, died Friday evening at the Hamilton County Hospital in Webster City, following a lingering illness. She had worked as a cook at the Stratford school system until becoming ill.

Services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the South Marion Methodist Church, with burial in the South Marion Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Hanson Funeral Home after 8 p.m. Saturday.

Surviving are two sons and three daughters, Marvin Hall, Beeville, Tex.; Daryl, Marion; Mrs. Gene Beaver, Yorba Linda, Calif.; Mrs. Duane Tyler, Cedar Rapids, and Mrs. Verlyn Westrum, Stratford; ten grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Grace Luth, Lehigh; a brother, Edwin Luth, Omaha, Neb.; and a sister, Mrs. Jennie Osborn, Spooner, Wis.

Myrtle Luth was born at Kimball, S.D. [daughter of Henry & Grace Holloway Luth] and was educated in the Lehigh and Stratford communities. In 1926 she married Edgar Hall who died in 1958.
