STRATFORD - Word has been received of the death of Marie Fostberg, 92, Stratford, who died Wednesday, Feb 22, at the Hamilton County Hospital. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 25, at 1:30 p.m. at the Stratford Lutheran Church, Pastor Jennifer Edinger officiating. Burial will be in the South Marion Cemetery, south of Stratford. Visitation at the Stark-Welin Funeral Home in Stratford is Friday, Feb. 24, from 6-9 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 25, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Marie Anderson, daughter of Axel and Hedda Johnson Anderson, was born June 5, 1896 in Mjolby, Sweden. She married Hjalmer Fostberg on Feb. 12, 1919. She was a housewife, and moved to Stratford in 1914.

She is survived by two sons, Ray Fostberg and Harold Fostberg, and a daughter, Inez Simonson, all of Stratford; a daughter Margit Dutcher, White Bear, Minn.; 11 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Fostberg was preceded in death by her husband in 1933, one brother and three sisters.

She was a member of the Stratford Lutheran Church.
