Knute William Erickson, 80, of 227 Crawford, Boone, died Thursday, Feb. 7, at his home. He was born Aug. 15, 1899 in Boten, Sweden, the son of Anders Erickson and Anna Booth. He married Evelyn Eckstein on April 4, 1942 in Stratford.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the AARP, and the Merry Mixers. He was employed at the Boone Construction Co.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 10 brothers, one sister, an infant son and daughter, and an infant grandson.

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn, of Boone; two sisters-in-law; one son and daughter-in-law, Sidney and Kathy Erickson of Bellevue, Neb.; one daughter and son-in-law, Nell and George Lehner of Montrose, Colo.; four grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 9 at the First United Methodist Church in Boone with Dr. Carl Wilson officiating. Burial was in the South Marion Cemetery.
