Mrs. Edythe Pauline Arrasmith, 78, a former Webster City resident died Monday at the Mercy Hospital in Davenport after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be Friday at the Foster Funeral Home in Webster City. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery.

The Weerts-Hill-Fredericks Funeral Home at Bettendorf has charge of preliminary arrangements.

Edythe Claflin was born May 19, 1903 in Webster City, the daughter of Eddie and Charlotte Gleason Claflin. She was married to Alva Arrasmith on December 25, 1927 at Webster City and the couple farmed south of Webster City. She was a former rural school teacher in the Webster City area.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Wesley Arrasmith of LeClaire, Iowa; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
