MRS. KIRCHNER DIES IN CITY

Funeral Services to Be Held on Monday

Mrs. Minnie Kirchner, 78, longtime Webster City and Hamilton county resident, died at 6:40 a.m. today at the Hamilton county hospital where she had been a patient since Monday. She had been in poor health for several years.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Foster funeral home with Rev. H.C. Coovert officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Minnie Gerber, daughter of Daniel and Caroline [Beaker] Gerber, was born March 1, 1870 in a log cabin on a farm four miles southwest of this city. She was educated and grew to young womanhood in that community. She was married Jan. 14, 1891 to Robert Kirchner and the couple started housekeeping on a farm southeast of Webster City, residing there for three years.

They moved to a farm southwest of Eagle Grove, living there seven years before purchasing and moving to a farm three miles southwest of Kamrar in the Grand View community. The Kirchners lived there until 1913 when they retired and moved to Webster City where they had purchased a home at 1000 Bank street. Mrs. Kirchner had made her home there ever since. Her husband died Feb. 8, 1924 and she was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ralph W. (Anne) Kepler of this city, and two sons, Louie E. Kirchner of Ottumwa and Daniel E. of Oak Park, Ill. There are also seven grandchildren; three brothers, Charles C. Gerber of Webster City, Henry W. of Kamrar, and Daniel C. of Pleasant Valley, Canada, and a sister, Mrs. L.E. (Anna) Evans of Aberdeen, S.D.

A member of the English Lutheran church, Mrs. Kirchner was also an active member of the Women's Relief Corps, the Rebekah lodge and the West Way club.

A loving mother and grandmother whose family and home were her main interests, Mrs. Kirchner will be missed greatly not only by the immediate family, but by her many friends.
