WELL KNOWN CITIZEN PASSES AWAY

A.C. Smith is Called to Final Rest - Victim of Pleuro-Pneumonia

A.C. Smith, a well known resident who has spent more than thirty years of his life in this city, passed away shortly before noon today at Mercy hospital of pleuro-pneumonia after a short but serious illness.

Mr. Smith was sixty-four years of age, having been born Dec. 27, 1852, in Nashville, Tenn. He was married in Thompson, Ill., and soon after his marriage removed with his family to this city. Seven children were born to this union and are: Mrs. I.G. Pearce, Creighton, S.D., Clayton Smith, Miles City, Mont., Mrs. Silbert Anderson, Mason City; Mrs. Joseph Jones, R.V., Albert A., and Glen, all of this city. They with their mother are left to mourn his death.

The funeral service will be announced tomorrow.
