Miss Minnie Caroline Eggers, 72, longtime resident of Webster City, died Friday evening at 5 o'clock at the Hamilton county hospital. She had suffered a stroke Sunday and had been a patient at the hospital since that time.

Funeral services will be at the St. Paul Lutheran church Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. H.H. Schauland officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery. The body will lie in state at the McCauley-Chapman funeral home until noon Tuesday, when it will be taken to the church.

Minnie Eggers, daughter of Fred and Caroline Eggers, was born in Meriden, Conn. on Oct. 27, 1883. She came to Webster City when she was a young girl and had always made her home here since.

For many years she was employed at the Crandall Grocery and also at the Shipley-Black store.

Miss Eggers was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church and active in church work for many years.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. A.G. Lohmann of Webster City; two brothers, Charley and Will C. Eggers, both of Webster City; seven nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Emma; and a brother, Fred W. Eggers.
