Funeral services will be held in this city Tuesday for Mrs. Fred W. Eggers, 63, who died at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Hamilton county hospital where she had been a patient for three days. She had been in failing health for several years.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Paul Lutheran church preceded by a brief service at 1:45 at the family home, 833 Bank street. The Rev. O.E. Weiss will officiate with burial in Graceland cemetery, the Foster funeral home in charge.

Augusta Buettner, daughter of Fred and Caroline Buettner, was born Dec. 5, 1887 in the province of Posen, Germany. She came with her parents to the United States in 1893, locating in Wenona, Ill. She was reared and educated there, later coming to Webster City.

She was united in marriage Feb. 21, 1911 at Webster City to Fred W. Eggers. Mr. and Mrs. Eggers started housekeeping on a farm northeast of Webster City. In 1917 they moved to a farm southwest of this city, residing there until 1942 when they retired and moved into Webster City, their home since.

Mrs. Eggers is survived by her husband; one son, and six daughters: Donald Eggers of Los Angeles; Mrs. Charles (Helen) Chalfant of Blairsburg; Mrs. Harold (Marian) Jeske of Albuquerque, N.M.; Evelyn Eggers, Omaha, Nebr.; Lois Eggers, Washington, D.C.; Eleanor and Gertrude Eggers, both at home.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, Richard and Donald Chalfant and Beth Jeske; three sisters, Mrs. Rosa Timm of Rockford, Ill., Mrs. Martha Callies of Richland, Wash., and Mrs. John Timm of Webster City; one brother, William Buettner of Riverside, Calif., and also a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruth, who died in infancy; by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.

Mrs. Eggers was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a faithful member of the St. Paul's Lutheran church in Webster City.

A kind and loving wife and mother, Mrs. Eggers main interests in life were her home, family and church.
