Vicki Carden, 64, of Duncombe, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017. Memorial services will be held Monday, October 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeff Flagg officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the church.

Vicki Jo Picht, daughter of Bertis and Shirley Elliott Picht, was born July 16, 1953 in Webster City. She was a 1971 graduate of Webster City High School and received her Associate degree in Nursing from St. Mary’s Junior College in 1973. Vicki married Dean Carden on August 25, 1973 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Webster City. The couple resided in Duncombe. Vicki worked as a nurse at Mercy Hospital in Fort Dodge, was the Director of Nursing at Southfield Care Center, and at Prairie Lakes AEA. For many years, she helped with the family farming operation and Pioneer Seed business.

Vicki is survived by her husband, Dean, of Duncombe; children, Lori (Jamie) Kolbeck and Randy Carden, both of Webster City; grandchildren, Casey and Cody Kolbeck, Camden and Josslyn Carden; siblings, Ron (Jane) Picht of Rockford, Il, Jane Powell of Hot Springs Village, Ark; sister-in-law, Diane (Denny) Richardson of Webster City; uncles and aunts, Bob (Sondra) Carden of Webster City, Daryl Picht of Dallas, TX, Arlene Rudy of Cedar Rapids, IA, Audrey Elliott of Andover, MN; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children in infancy, Carrie and Richie Carden.

Vicki was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. Vicki enjoyed traveling, being with friends, shopping, and spending time at the lake. Most of all she loved time spent with family, especially her grandchildren, attending their school and sporting events.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Asbury United Methodist Church, in memory of Vicki, and will be used to support youth ministries and youth programs.
