McIntire Rites On Wednesday

Wilbur McIntire, 47, longtime resident of this community, died at 7:30 Sunday morning at his home, 709 West Avenue. His death was sudden, being attributed to a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran church with the Rev. Arthur Oswald officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery where military services will be held at graveside.

The body will lie in state at the Foster funeral home until 11 a.m. Wednesday when it will be taken to the church.

Wilbur Carlyle McIntire, son of Earl and Lillian McIntire, was born Feb. 17, 1913, at Kalo, Iowa. At the age of two, he moved with his parents to Webster City, and he was reared and educated in this community.

He was united in marriage Sept. 2, 1953 to Edna Irving. Mr. and Mrs. McIntire had always since made their home in Webster City.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Cynthia Ann; his father, Earl McIntire of Webster City; five brothers and three sisters: George McIntire, Anaheim, Calif., Darold, Lyle and Gene McIntire, all of Webster City, Ivan McIntire, Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Robert (Frances) Wepel, Las Vegas, Nev., Mrs. Curtis (Dorothy) Eide and Mrs. Harold (Doris) Gates, both of Webster City, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother in 1955, and by one brother, Kenneth.

Mr. McIntire was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran church.
