JESSIE IRVING DIED AT F.D.

Services to Be at 3:30 Monday Afternoon

Mrs. Jessie Irving, 67, died at the Lutheran hospital in Fort Dodge at 6:45 Thursday evening. She had been a patient there the past five and one-half weeks. Death was caused by complications following an operation.

Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 3:30 at the Foster funeral home, with the Rev. John A. Farnham of the Methodist church officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery.

Jessie Annie Henderson was born June 17, 1878 in Scotland, the daughter of James and Joan Henderson. She was educated in the schools in Scotland and in 1905, she came to this country, directly to Webster City.

On April 12, 1905, she was united in marriage to William Irving and they moved to a farm south of this city. They resided on this farm for a number of years until they purchased and moved to a farm four miles northwest of Blairsburg.

She made her home here until Mr. Irving died in 1941, when she went to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Harley Bell, eight miles northwest of Stratford.

She is survived by Mrs. Bell and another daughter, Mrs. Ward Peetz of Winston, Ky., also four granddaughters, JoAnn, Jana and Jean, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Bell and Joan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peetz.

Two sisters, Janie Henderson and Mrs. Joan Fletcher, both of Scotland, and one nephew, James Henderson, of this city, also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter who died in infancy, four brothers and two sisters. She was a member of the Methodist church in this city.

A kind, loving and generous woman, Mrs. Irving will be long remembered as a good wife and mother.
