CLARION, July 1 - Services were held at United Presbyterian church for Mrs. M.L. Howieson, 79, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Floyd Bubeck. The Rev. W.B. Gamble officiated. Burial was in Clarion Evergreen cemetery.

Agnes Howieson, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph [Agnes Carson] Irving, was born in Ayrshire, Scotland, March 6, 1868. On Feb. 11, 1896, she was married to Mark L. Howieson in Glasgow, Scotland. They sailed for America following their marriage, planning to make their home in Hamilton county where Mr. Howieson had been working for three years before returning to Scotland for their marriage.

They settled on a farm south of Webster City where they lived until 1905 when they moved to Wright county.

Survivors are three children: Mrs. Floyd Bubeck and James Howieson of Clarion and Stanley Howieson of Belmond.

Mrs. Howieson came to her daughter's home in December 1943 and has been an invalid during these last years. Her husband preceded her in death Sept. 14, 1946.

The Eyler funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
