Double funeral services for Homer G. Barr, 93, and his wife, Mrs. Annie Barr, 95, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Paul D. Williamson officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Mrs. Homer (Annie) Barr, 95, longtime Webster City resident, died early this morning at Crestview Manor.

Annie M. Irving, daughter of Joseph and Agnes Carson Irving, was born Dec. 2, 1882 [headstone at Graceland Cemetery, Webster City, Iowa says born 1884] in Ayrshire, Scotland. She was reared and educated in Scotland, moving with her parents to the United States, locating in Hamilton county.

She was united in marriage Jan. 12, 1909 to Homer G. Barr, and the couple farmed for five years on the T.E. Silvers farm south of Webster City. In 1914, they purchased a farm southeast of Duncombe where they lived for 48 1/2 years. They retired and moved into Webster City in 1962, residing at 1605 Wauneta Court. For the past two years, they had resided at Crestview Manor.

She is survived by one daughter, Maisie Reeves of Loveland, Colo., several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.

She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist church.
