MRS. JOE IRVING DIES AT CHRISTMAS

Well Known Woman Passes Away in Methodist Hospital, Des Moines

Mrs. Joe Irving, who lived six miles south of Webster City, died last night at 8:12 [?] o'clock in the Methodist hospital in Des Moines of sleeping sickness, which followed flu and pneumonia. The body has been brought to this city and the funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at St. Paul's Lutheran church, conducted by Rev. Brauer.

Mrs. Irving had been ill for six weeks and three weeks ago was taken to Des Moines for treatment. All that could be done for her was done, but she sank steadily and passed away Christmas night.

Mrs. Irving leaves to mourn her untimely death, her husband and two children - William and Edna May - both of whom live at home. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Barnett, and one brother, Sell Barnett, also survive. Her maiden name was Estelle Barnett. She was born in California and was a little past 40 years of age. She was married Jan. 5, 1909, and had lived in this community ever since.

The family was widely known and in their hour of sorrow the sympathy of their many friends is extended.
