MRS. IRVING, AGE 87, DIES

Funeral Services to Be Held Here at Foster Funeral Home

Mrs. Joseph Irving, 87, died at the home of her daughter, four miles northeast of Clarion, this morning at 9 o'clock, death following a three weeks' illness. Death was caused by complications incident to old age.

Funeral services will be held at the Foster funeral home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with burial at Graceland cemetery.

Mr. Irving preceded his wife in death, April, 1932. Mr. and Mrs. Irving were married in Ayshire, Scotland, Jan. 25, 1865, and in 1930 they celebrated their sixty-sixth wedding anniversary with a family gathering at the farm home of their son, Tom, northwest of Blairsburg.

The Irvings lived near Maybale until August, 1901, when they came to the United States. They came to the home of their daughter, Mrs. Mark Howieson, who lived south of this city, until their own home was ready. Mr. and Mrs. Irving lived on their farm south of Webster City until a few years ago when they retired from active farming.

They had four sons and three daughters - John, in England; Will, Joe and Tom, who live near here; Mrs. M.L. Howieson, of near Clarion; Mrs. James Burgess, of Beatrice, Neb., and Mrs. Homer Barr, southwest of this city.
