Harry A. Cleckner, 91, Webster City, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, at the Southfield Care Center, where he had been a resident for the past three months. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 31, at 1:30 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home, Rev. Vernon Sorenson officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation at the Foster Funeral Home will be after 7 p.m. today.

Harry Alfred Cleckner, son of James and Elizabeth Johnson Cleckner, was born Dec. 29, 1897, in Webster City, where he was educated. He married Mildred L. Blue on April 3, 1920 in Fort Dodge. The couple resided in Webster City, where they operated Cleckner Plumbing. Mr. Cleckner also worked for the city for several years. After his retirement in 1976, the couple resided in Florida. Following the death of Mrs. Cleckner in June 1983, Mr. Cleckner moved back to Webster City.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Ensign. Gerald A. Cleckner, who died in the South Pacific in 1945; his parents, one brother and one sister.

He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and the Acacia Lodge 176 A.F. & A.M.
