Elva E. Bahrenfuss, 92, Webster City, died Wednesday, May 31 at the Hamilton County Hospital, Webster City. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 3 at 1:30 p.m. at the Grace United Methodist Church, Dr. Charles W. Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation at the Foster Funeral Home, Webster City, will be until 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

Elva Enna Doolittle, daughter of Arthur and Harriett Thompson Doolittle, was born Sept. 11, 1896 in Hamilton County. She was educated in Hamilton County schools, and attended Webster City High School. She married Benjamin Buryl Bahrenfuss on Dec. 25, 1914 at her family home, north of Webster City. The couple farmed in the Stonega area northeast of Webster City. Following the death of Mr. Bahrenfuss on Feb. 2, 1936, Mrs. Bahrenfuss continued to reside on the family farm until 1956, when she moved to Webster City. She was employed as a practical nurse in private homes for a number of years. She entered Crestview Manor Care Center 16 years ago.

She is survived by three daughters and two sons, Mae (Mrs. Elmer) Bruns, Eleanor (Mrs. Adolph) Schroeder, Jean (Mrs. Lloyd) Roe and Keith Bahrenfuss all of Webster City, and Lee Bahrenfuss, Blairsburg; 22 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two daughters, three sons-in-law, and three sisters.

Mrs. Bahrenfuss was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Webster City, where she was also a member of the church choir, UMW, and Mulberry Helping Hands. She was a member of the Farm Bureau Women, Rural Women's ? and the Hamilton County Hospital ? Ladies.
