DIED THURSDAY AT AGE OF 96

Funeral Services Sunday for Otto F. Peterson of Stratford.

Otto F. Peterson, oldest resident of the Stratford community, died suddenly Thursday night at the age of 96 years. Funeral services will be held at the Methodist church in Stratford Sunday at 2 p.m.; Fosters in charge.

A brief service will also be held at the home at 1:45; burial will be in Lawn Hill cemetery, Stanhope, the Rev. Waterman officiating.

Born June 10, 1847 in Sweden, Mr. Peterson came to this country as a young man. He was married to Clara Monson and to this union five children were born.

Besides his wife, Mr. Peterson was preceded in death by three children, Ella, Ernest and Albert. Surviving are one son, Emil of Stratford and Mrs. John Forsberg of Stanhope, a daughter.

There are also three grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

For 31 years, the Petersons lived on a farm near Stanhope and since retiring from active work. Mr. Peterson had lived 29 years in Stratford. He made his home with his son, Emil and family.
