Lloyd A. Peterson, 74, lifelong Stanhope area farmer, died at 6:30 a.m. Saturday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clifford Pratt, in Auburn, Iowa.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Richard L. Miller officiating and with burial in Lawn Hill cemetery at Stanhope.

Lloyd A. Peterson, son of Andrew P. and Jennie Jacobson Peterson, was born Oct. 28, 1900 at Stanhope, where he was reared and educated.

He was married March 22, 1928 to Martha C. Lestina, and the couple had always farmed in the Stanhope area.

He is survived by his widow; his daughter, Mrs. Clifford (Mary) Pratt of Auburn, a son, James A. Peterson of Des Moines, and two grandchildren, Randall and Brian Pratt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mrs. Earl (Alice) Davis and a brother, Archie Peterson.

He was a member of the Christian church at Stanhope.
