Carl Leroy Peterson, son of Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Peterson, residing north of Thompson, died at 2:15 Saturday afternoon, after a lingering illness at the age of 20 years, three months and 27 days.

Leroy was born at Stanhope April 3, 1912. He was baptized at the Lutheran church by the Rev. Brenne at Stanhope. In 1920 he moved to Scarville, Iowa, and seven years ago moved to Thompson and has lived in and around there ever since.

He leaves to mourn his sad death his beloved mother and father and three sisters, Helen, Lavina and Arlene, besides his paternal grandfather and several aunts, uncles and cousins and other relatives and a large host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the Bethany church at Thompson and in the Bethany Lutheran church at Stanhope and were conducted by the Rev. Oppedal. Burial was made at the Lawn Hill cemetery.
