DEATH TAKES A.P. PETERSON

Funeral Services for Stanhope Man to Be Saturday Afternoon

Andrew P. Peterson, 74, who had been a resident of the Stanhope community for the past 62 years, died at the hospital in Webster City last evening at 9:30 o'clock, following a two weeks' illness. Death was caused by ailments incident to old age. He had been in poor health for the past year.

Mr. Peterson was born in Sweden Dec. 9, 1859 and came to the United States in 1866, settling in Rock Island, Ill. The family moved to East Marion vicinity, Hamilton county, in 1871, where he had since lived.

He was married April 9, 1895 to Miss Jennie Jacobson, who survives him. He also leaves two sons, Archie and Lloyd, both of Stanhope; a sister, Mrs. August Carlson, of Stratford, and two brothers, John, of ? City, Minn., and Nels, of Stanhope. One daughter, Alice, died ten years ago and he was also preceded in death by one sister and one brother.

He was confirmed in the Lutheran church at Stratford, but during his residence near Stanhope he attended the Methodist church. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Archie Peterson farm south of Stanhope and at 2 o'clock at the Stanhope Methodist church. Burial will be made in Lawn Hill cemetery. Foster's, of Webster City, in charge. The Archie Peterson farm is the Andrew Peterson homestead.
