Velma Ruth Hove was born August 15, 1925, at Stanhope and died Jan. 15, 1928 at Mercy hospital in Webster City at the tender age of two years and five months. Besides her bereaved parents, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Hove, she leaves to mourn her passing one sister, Marjorie, 8 years old and many other relatives.

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Lutheran church in Stanhope. Rev. H.O. Oppedal conducted the services and the girls quartet, consisting of Ione Nelson, Gertrude Monson, Marjorie Iverson and Orene Madson, furnished the singing, accompanied by Lyla Iverson on the piano. M. Eugene Fardal also sang a solo.

Her four little cousins, Myrtle and Evelyn Hove and Alma and Lavonna Hove, were pallbearers.

Interment was made in the Lawn Hill cemetery, south of town.
