Funeral services for Richard B. Hove, 42, former Webster City-Ames area resident, will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Enoch Hall officiating and with burial in Lawn Hill cemetery near Stanhope.

Mr. Hove died Tuesday morning at San Diego, Calif.

Richard Burdette Hove, son of Melvin and Loreen Adams Hove, was born Jan. 30, 1934, at Webster City. As a small child, he moved with his parents to Des Moines and later to Ames where he was graduated from Ames high school in 1952.

He attended the Iowa State University at Ames and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. In 1967, he was united in marriage, and the couple resided in the San Diego area. To this union, two children were born, one son and one daughter, Richard Hove and Randy Hove, both of Rocklin, Calif.

For the past 15 years, he had been engaged in the carpet business.

Besides his children, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin A. Hove of Hiawatha, Iowa; two sisters, Mrs. Don (Sandra) Vosseller of Marion, Iowa, and Mrs. Melva Jo Brownell of San Diego; four nieces and one nephew.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
