A GOOD WOMAN GONE

Mrs. J.S. Ferguson Passes Away at Her House, Friday Morning

Mrs. Ellender Ferguson, wife of J.S. Ferguson, died at her home south of town, yesterday morning, aged sixty-one years, one month and ten days, the cause of her death being asthma, from which she had endured untold suffering for almost thirty years.

Ellender Morris was born in Coshocton county, Ohio on the 13th day of October, 1833. A few years later her parents moved to Greene county, Indiana, where in 1854 she united with the Methodist church, of which organization she has ever since been a faithful member. In 1855 she was married to J.S. Ferguson, and in 1876 they came to this state and located in Clear Lake township, where they have since resided. Four children, three sons and a daughter, were born to them, and with the aged husband, are left to mourn the death of one who gave them all the wealth of a mother's love.

The funeral services will be held in the M.E. church at this place at eleven o'clock, tomorrow morning, and will be conducted by Rev. A.G. Ward. The sympathy of all will go out to the family in this time of grief.
