MRS. S.C. BUTE DIES AT HOME

Funeral Services for Stanhope Woman to Be Thursday at 2:30 P.M.

Mrs. Samuel C. Bute, 79, died yesterday morning at 7:50 o'clock at her home in Stanhope.

Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Christian church in Stanhope, preceded by a brief service at the home. The Rev. C.F. Schmidt will officiate and burial will be made in Lawn Hill cemetery. Foster's in charge.

Surviving Mrs. Bute are two children, Mrs. A.W. Miller and Victoria I. Bute. Two children preceded her in death. There is one grandson, Wilson C. Miller, and the following brothers and sisters, James Sneesby, of Clear Lake, Albert Sneesby and Mrs. Edward Haney, of Chugwater, Wyo., Mrs. Alice Ferguson of Livermore and Oliver Sneesby of Cherokee.

Mrs. Bute's maiden name was Susan Ann Sneesby and she was born in England. She was brought to the United States by her parents at the age of 8 months and the family located in Michigan. They also lived in Minnesota and Illinois before locating in Iowa in 1874. She was married to Samuel C. Bute in 1889.
