Erma Wing, 85, Stanhope, died Tuesday, February 15 at her home. Services were held on February 19 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Stanhope with Intern Katharine Yarnell officiating. Burial was in the Lawn Hill Cemetery, southeast of Stanhope. Foster Funeral home of Webster City was in charge of the arrangements.

Erma Martina (Lind) Wing, the daughter of Martin and Ruby (Seagren) Lind, was born December 31, 1908 at Harcourt and graduated from high school there.

On July 31, 1928 she married Clifford Wing at Prairie City. The couple resided in Stanhope. Mrs. Wing was a homemaker and had been employed as a cook at the Stanhope school, as well as at Sorenson's Café.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Norma and Duane Engelby, Stanhope; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Dennis and Rosemary Wing, Stanhope and Lyle and Janet Wing, Jewell; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and one step great granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one granddaughter, one brother and three sisters.

Mrs. Wing was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Stanhope, YMW Club and the Stanhope Senior Citizens.
