Wallace K. Wildt, 61, Stanhope, died Saturday afternoon, Feb. 3, at the Veterans hospital in Des Moines, where he had been a patient for nine weeks. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 7 at the Foster Funeral Home in Webster City, Rev. Richard Morris officiating. Burial will be in the Lawn Hill Cemetery, southeast of Stanhope. Graveside flag-folding services will be conducted by American Legion Post 191. Visitation at Foster's is after 5 p.m. today, until service time.

Wallace Kenneth Wildt, son of William and Marie Stevens Wildt, was born July 6, 1928 in Fort Dodge where he also received his education. He married Donna Fister on Jan. 24, 1959 in Omaha, Neb. The couple resided in Webster City until 1968, when they moved to Stanhope. Mr. Wildt was employed at the Friedrich Construction in Ames, and was a carpenter, retiring in 1978 due to failing health.

He is survived by his wife Donna, Stanhope; four daughters and two sons, Sherryl (Mrs. Dennis) Beaderstadt, Stanhope; Wallace "Kenny" Wildt Jr., Fort Dodge; Peggy Wildt, Stanhope; Michael Wildt, Fort Benning, Ga.; Sandra Young, Duncombe; Karlotta (Mrs. Chris) Draeger, Webster City; nine grandchildren; two brothers, Robert Wildt, Fort Dodge and Donald Wildt, Manson; two sisters, Velma (Mrs. James) Scott, Fort Dodge; and Jeannie (Mrs. David) McCarville, Chisago City, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a granddaughter and two sisters.

Mr. Wildt was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and American Legion Post 191.
