DIED MONDAY AT HOSPITAL

Services Thursday for Hattie Wilbur, 73

Miss Hattie Wilbur, 73, longtime resident of Stanhope, died Monday evening at the hospital here where she had been a patient since Friday. Death was caused by complications following a stroke.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Stanhope Methodist church, the Rev. Cyril Ashton officiating. Burial in Lawn Hill cemetery at Stanhope.

Daughter of Harvey and Louisa Wilbur, Hattie Louisa Wilbur was born on a farm in Marion township, Feb. 28, 1872. She was educated in the schools of the community and in 1898 moved with the family to Stanhope which had since been her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Austin Groves of Stanhope and Mabell Wilbur, also of Stanhope. One niece, Mrs. Robert E. Bowman, the former Gale Ristrim, lives at Denver, Colo.

Miss Wilbur was baptized in the Methodist faith and was a member of the Methodist church at Stanhope.
